The Scotty 5000 has taken the best features of the Ten Thousand and incorporated them into a compact unit. The Scotty 5000 uses a platen plastic sealing system that heats only the tab extension and an adjustable dwell function allows you to hold the sheet for a pre-determined time. Therefore, some difficult stocks that require special handling are easier to run.
Unlike many pieces of automated equipment that require large runs because of make ready time, the Scotty is actually faster to set up. The fast dial counter allows quick changeover of plastic length, tab cut width, as well as the position of the plastic on the paper. It is an excellent machine for long or short runs. Adjustments for film lengths, tab size and position is precisely measured to .01 and is easily repeatable.
This unit will laminate and tab cut up to 4,200 laminated index tabs per hour. Plain tabs will run at over 5,500 per hour. The Scotty 5000 is built in the Scott tradition. There is an option available for the Scotty that allows you to run an 18 1/2-inch long sheet.

The Scott Ten Thousand has long been the Cadillac of the industry. It can produce up to 10,000 laminated tabs per hour with one operator, although actual production will be closer to 7,500. Ten sets of heated rollers and two sets of non-heated ones assure smooth bonding of material to various materials. It is estimated that 90% of the index tabs manufactured word-wide are produced on this machine.

The sheet fed design of the RHP 7000 offers a much wider application range, index, stock, or printed materials.
The Scott Edge-Pro Looseleaf Reinforcer is an easy to operate unit, which requires minimal setup. Actual production speed, when allowing for loading and unloading should be in excess of 3,000 sheets per hour. It handles a wide variety of materials and sizes and is built extremely tuff. By adding the Friction Feeder Attachment, you can increase your production speed to 4,500 reinforced sheets per hour.
The Lam-Pro feeds the laminating film, cuts it to the selected length, folds it around the sheet, and bonds both sides to the paper. Changeovers require no tools, and tab positions can be changed in seconds. There are no adjustments required when changing to different stocks. The equipment is virtually maintenance free and will last forever. You should be able to produce 10,000 sheets per shift.
The Tab-Pro is the best semi-automatic tab cutter on the market. Semi-skilled operators will probably get 3,000 to 5,000 tabs per hour. Tab positions can be changed in seconds. You can adjust to any tab width from ½ to 6 inches. Knives are made from tool steel, hardened and precision ground. Once again, the equipment is extremely heavy duty.
